Marvel Movie Reviews w/ Rambo - Thor Dark World (2013)

 

While there were a number of twists and turns in the storyline, there really wasn't as much action as I have come to anticipate with the Marvel movies. That is the largest reason why I am rating this film a 3 out of 5 stars. The other reason, is I do not like being lied to on multiple occasions about characters dying. There are also a number of points where I am questioning many things in the storyline, such as what even is this dark elf magic referred to as ether, and how did it come to exist on Earth? Is it something like the Transformers, where it was sent here to keep it away from the evil doers, or was it lost here during the last gravitational universe lineup?

• Why are we starting with story telling from the dad again as if we are children once more? I thought father was kapoot?
• Not the dad telling Loki that he was meant to die and should therefore be greatful he is even alive let alone that he should become a king.
• Have the girls always been in the UK? I thought they were in the US?
• Sure, be guided around by a bunch of kids, nothing weird about that.
• Could this be considered paranormal activity by a ghost hunter?
• Ma'am, you were far too calm about whatever that Venom-like stuff was.
• The elf lord!
• Shouldn't he have noticed her go missing before that?
• Why is it only those in the gate thing aren't getting drenched in rain?
• SHE LITERALLY SAW HIM IN NEW YORK AND HE DIDN'T GO TO SAY A WORD TO HER
• Ooo, she has powers now, powers that protect her from others.
• How are you just going to leave your other people behind like that to get arrested?
• Oh, so now that it's something not of Earth, you care about her health, crazy.
• I don't understand, are the elves trying to hurt everyone or cause infighting amongst them?
• What did he sense? Why is he running... oh, there's an invisible ship.
• Why are the elves so evil?
• They are very agile in their ships.
• Also, Asgard makes me think of Oz.
• Shouldn't he have put that barrier up sooner?
• Oof, just as quickly as it went up, it is back down. They are screwed.
• How come the soldiers have horns that look similar to Loki's, but Thor, who is meant to be the next king, does not?
• How do they end up taking each other out to the point that there is a single soldier standing?
• What is it that he believes is his?
• Oh, the stuff that ended up inside the human girl!
• The viking funeral for the queen but not including the soldiers is wild, like they deserve some type of recognition dont they?
• Oh, nevermind, they all got a boat, it just wasn't visible at first.
• What are the orbs everyone else sent up?
• Poor Loki will not have anyone fighting in his corner now, how unfortunate.
• When did the Erik guy go full blown crazy?
• Not the cameo old guy being in the looney bin with him xD
• What does that dark power do in the hands of the elves? Why was the power taken away from them to begin with?
• What would the Avengers do if the ether had remained on Earth and the elves had gone there?
• With his hair down and wearing that cloak, Thor looks like he is a very tall Hobbit and belongs in the Lord of the Rings world.
• Y'know, if Loki wasn't so evil, he would be a real fun guy to hang around with, especially with his shape-shifting/mirage ability.
• I love how all of Thor's friends are making the same threat to Loki about betrayal.
• Why did she pass out?
• I don't think now is the time to fight boys...
• "There is nothing more reassuring than realizing that the world is more crazy then you."
• Is she gonna sacrifice herself for Thor?
• Does Thor regrow his hand? I assume he has it in the other Avenger movies...
• IT WAS A TRICK!
• Aww, Loki almost got sucked into the void.
• So, is it Thor that does the flying or does the hammer do the flying and Thor is just along for the ride?
• What's up with the masks the elves wear anyway?
• Wait, Loki dies?
• He didn't even try to bring the body of his brother into the cave with them; he won't get a proper funeral now.
• I am just as confused as Jane about the phone service working.
• Wow, people really trashed their car that fast, that's sad.
• So the ether isn't in her anymore? So she won't be losing her life?
• Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say the dark elves beat you there...
• Why are the dark elf ships so tall anyway?
• Oops, accidentally moved their friends.
• Do the Avengers get called to international battles?
• Did the fighter jets end up in China or in a different world?
• Big man felt super strong in that moment, lifting that car up to save her.
• Is dark elf ruler guy getting darker in color the closer to the convergence point we get?
• It's giving Twitches with the dark cloud that takes over everything.
• Did dark elf man get bigger?
• Did she really think she was going to be able to pull Thor out of the way?
• That's ironic; it fell through one of those portal anomalies.
• So if Thor is refusing to be king of Asgard, who will be the king when the current king passes?
• LOKI IS NOT DEAD! Did he kill the actual king to take his spot though?
• The tesseract is an infinity stone? But it's so big compared to a ring on the guy's hand...
• Is that supposed to be the ther inside the gold lantern box thing? How is that an infinity stone?
• Why does the collector want the infinity stones? Does everyone know of their power and want to take over?
• Did they just casually forget about this giant demon lizard dog running around the city?
