Official Synopsis: Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) are drawn together by their common desire to do what they love. But as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.
Personal Review/Remarks as Noted While Watching:
-Old fashioned beginning with a widening of the screen to create the illusion of curtains opening as was probably occurring at the premiere in Hollywood.
-Introductory singer is not who you would expect due to publicity and causes you to think you are watching the original Broadway show rather than the new remake.
-In the words of the movie, very "hollywoodesque" in the sense that it is rather fast paced and dizzying due to constant camera angle changes and zoomage.
-Made me think of a combination of Hairspray and Annie.
-Embarrassingly funny watching Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling flirt.
-Becomes very sad when one character begins to find their self and what they truly want from life while the other loses their self in fame and money.
-Rather unorthodox ending with an unusually confusing conclusion.
Altogether it was a decently made move that perfectly depicted the Hollywood of childhood dreams. However, I would not be one to watch it again on purpose...

A Day Full of War & Death
Today
was an emotionless day for many. It was another day of our lives without much
excitement. Somewhere somebody is bound to have gotten engaged. Somebody
married. Somebody divorced. Somebody broke up a relationship. Somebody was
born. Somebody died. It is the same thing that occurs every day just not to
ourselves.
In other
news; today Russia, the country that is being accused of hacking the American
election; pulled its forces out of Syria. Or it at least began to pull its
armed forces out anyway. Could be bad, could be good. Depends on which side of
the battle you’re standing.
Also,
somebody from the freezing American state of Alaska shot and killed a bunch of
people after arriving in a Fort Lauderdale airport. I thought that place was
mainly military which would explain how the gun got there but apparently, it was
a regular civilian…… Hmm…. Just another thing to add to the idiotic gun control
enthusiasts.

Redundancy
History has a tendency to repeat itself. So do we as people.
We recall the same events to those around us. We learn from these recaptions
but we also injure ourselves more than it did to create the memory. The things
you endure most definitely have shaped who you are and the choices you make but
it can cause you to make the wrong decisions if you aren’t learning from the
past.
I can’t
tell what to do with your own being; I can tell you that we as a group want to
better ourselves and are going to ATTEMPT to stray away from the events we
often revisit numerous times. We want to make ourselves happier and our lives
longer. No more dwelling in the past. No more struggling to find light in the
dark. We will be our own light and make our own paths to a new tomorrow.
