Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016)

Movie Synopsis:
After slipping through a mirror, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) finds herself back in Underland with the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Her friends tell her that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is in a funk over the loss of his family. Hoping to save his loved ones, Alice steals the Chronosphere from Time (Sacha Baron Cohen) to travel into the past. While there, she encounters the younger Hatter and the evil Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).

While I myself have not read the novels, compared to the cartoon versions of this classic tale; I very much enjoy the live versions Disney has created. Johnny Depp is a magnificent Mad Hatter and Alice has grown on me throughout the plot. This sequel to the original movie released in March of 2015, takes on the impossible of traveling through the time dimensions and defeating death while also accepting it. For anyone, both child and adult; who is having trouble accepting the loss of loved ones or deciding if giving up on dreams is the better thing to do; this novel turned movie may be beneficial to watch. It is especially intriguing how Time is now a person and to some may resemble a relationship Alice may have had with her father. By the end of the featured film, not only has Alice been reconnected with her true self, the Hatter has his family back, Alice's mother sees what Alice has known her whole life, and Queen of Hearts has chosen to forgive her sister who was the ultimate cause of EVERYTHING.
