Uncovering Secrets

First impressions are meant to be everything! They showcase the experience as much more than it really is, they hide the truth. Tours of colleges for instance eagerly want you to join their student body; it seems odd that the student orientation leaders would want you to fall into the same trap as themselves…. They must be brainwashed!!

But in all honesty, if you knew the truth 100% of the time than you wouldn’t want to be part of the process. If you knew the crime rates were just as high as the worst part of your current city you wouldn’t feel safe. If you knew there are numerous overdose attempts, you wouldn’t want to hang around these ‘delinquents’. If you knew the equipment they provide you with rarely works, you wouldn’t want to rely on it to accomplish your work. If you knew that the professors don’t actually care about each student just because it is a smaller class size, you wouldn’t prefer these classes. If you knew half of what you should, you wouldn’t have wanted to grow up. If you knew what the world held, you wouldn’t have wanted to be born and would have voted for abortion too, at least then you would be in some eternal state of innocence and peace. Because here in the outside world, we lie. We tell tall tales to make us seem more impressive. We destroy the little bit of good we have left in our lives, and we take for granted the pure things that bring us happiness. In this world; we aren’t living to our whole being. Until you are, and you can see through the apparition.

Chemistry Enthusiast

Warning: This is written by a chemistry nerd who is majoring in the subject, has their own chem lab in their house, has posters of periodic tables and scientific methods and equipment plastered all over their room, takes part in the chem society and chem fraternity inner workings….. This topic is not taken lightly to this individual!!!
Chemistry is a very broad topic. It is a physical science that ultimately makes up all of existence. Chemistry explains how hormones and vitamins course through your body building immunity and the aging process. It can explain psychological phenomena. The cooking of food. The blooming of flowers. The attraction between two individuals or between inanimate objects. Chemistry is forever expanding and ever mind blowing.
Much of the human population may find that exploring topics taught in schools is deafening and ruins one’s individualism but sometimes this desire to seek knowledge is what makes you special. In America, it is required that high school students take a year of biology and a year of chemistry. These courses barely touch the surface of what you can accomplish through the subjects. Accepting the invitation to take the course as an AP class furthers these scrapings and becomes a bit more in depth with the possibilities but until you are out in the world doing hands on work with the knowledge gained, you have no clue how enticing it all can be.
Acknowledging experiments and the scientific process can be scary, trying to apply it to your own research can be even more so. Once you jump into it however, you become entranced by the reaction occurring before your eyes. The solids dissolve and fizz off into the solution in colorful swirls as electrons transfer from one substance to another. Gases form, bubbles dancing up the chamber like baby jellyfish; the accumulation rapidly increases and you worry the tube will not be large enough to hold it. In awe, it is hard to believe that such a small amount of a substance can create such a response but in reality, it should be even larger. It begins to become apparent how precious and very touchy this ‘stuff’ can be. Realization hits on how people become overwhelmed with power and use it to destroy the lives of many.

               Knowledge is truly power.

Sleepless Nights

Working the midnight shift at any job while being a full-time student during the day can get very tiring. It isn’t just because you are working your butt of either, essentially you are forcing your body to push through its will to sleep, you are losing even more energy than you could be gaining in those precious hours all because you need the money to continue thriving. There are long term effects as well though! Just because you only work two or three midnight shifts a week does not mean that the rest of those nights will be any more restful. Say, for instance; you work two midnights in a row. The first night you are going to start dozing off towards the end of your shift, it will be difficult to stay awake but you will push yourself to do it. The second night, having already been through the same events the night before; your body has a central idea of its demands and will increase adrenaline and other energy levels so that you are fully awake and ready to take on any task that may come your way! That’s great! You can stay awake and not be encountered with an angry supervisor because you were caught sleeping in the boiler room. But then the third night comes. You don’t have to stay up for work but that doesn’t mean your body has not already somewhat adjusted itself to do so. You toss and turn in your bed, contemplation of other things you could accomplish in this time come to mind but you stay in your soft and warm cushioned and blanketed bed instead. Counting sheep doesn’t help, heck even singing the periodic table song doesn’t bore you into a slumber state. Half of the night will pass before your body realizes you have not been using the energy it stored away for you and it releases the proper proteins to induce sleep instead. By now you won’t have enough time to get a full night’s rest before you have your morning classes but at least you managed to fall asleep. Four nights in, you will still be rather energized but you will begin to rest at a more reasonable hour. By the fifth night you will be back to routine just so you can have to do it all over again in two more nights. YAY for adulting!!!!!!

Work Ethic

When you take a position with a company you are taking a commitment to serve your employer and follow every direction they give you even when you may not agree. Usually included in this agreement is your character which you present to peers, superiors, and those whom you serve. You may not always be able to please everyone surrounding you but you must do your best, otherwise you risk being let go from your position. As difficult as this may seem, it is what the real world is like, or should be anyway.
               Yes sir.
No ma’am.
Dress right dress.
Stainless clothes.
Sergeant, Corporal, General, Chief, Manager.
If this is all part of your job, you best do it like you were told in training. It is not up to you rules are followed and which are not. And while you may begin to feel comfortable in your position after your trial period is up, no matter how lenient your supervisor may become with you. Never relax for a moment. Dare to loosen up and they will snap you right back in to place. Just because others in your same position are doing it does not mean that you can follow suit. You will ultimately be the one caught and only you will be reprimanded for the actions taken.

Suck it up buttercup. That is the real world. There are no crying rooms here.

A Look Back to Last Year

Every year the infamous Time Magazine releases its top photos of the year, these photos are also listed on their website with the titles, photographers, and a short synopsis of the inner workings of the photos. Some years the photos are more cheerful than others but others are ridden with war and despair, often this clouds the judgement of others to cloud the entire year in despair despite periods of contempt. Occasional, you catch a glimpse of a time with both a negative side and a brighter aspect as well. One such picture, Turkey’s Coup by Stringer; was featured in this year’s article. Intended not just for the rebellious people of Istanbul or the people of Turkey who felt abandoned by their government and surrounding countries, but for the global population; this piece touched base on the struggle of some European countries who wish to help the adjacent Asian populations.
Under the high sun, soldiers who once hoped to help their people and provide a more just life for them; are beaten by civilians. With no indicative markings of country, you cannot distinguish the soldiers’ alliance nor that of the abusers. This also makes it rather difficult to see who is truly the victim. Through the glare, it is quite noticeable that these soldiers are huddled and unarmed as they shield their faces with dirtied arms and hands. The people carrying whips and batons range from those of hard working third class samaritans to those of people who spend days working minimal wage and waste their nights away in bars. You immediately feel remorse for the soldiers as you question what could have angered the others so deeply. After a while though, especially for Americans; a connection to our own actions becomes apparent. The police brutality and brutality TOWARDS police becomes very apparent. In a modern depth, we can influentially decide that maybe the people have felt betrayed by these soldiers but is it really their fault? Are the actions their own, who is to say they were not told by a higher authority that they must complete a certain task or else be punished with a cruelty far worse than being beaten with whips?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Sometimes those who wish to speak their own words have not the voice to do so, thus photographers help spread their stories and leave it for us to judge. We form conclusions of our own from these colorful, or lackluster for that matter; illustrations of events around the world. Nevertheless, actions are not always our own, stories we have not lived are not ours to tell.

Down Time

In a world that it is constantly buzzing with advancements and gossip, it isn’t a bad thing to take a break from everything for a good hour or two. College students spend a lot of time jumping into many very different portions of their lives. They are students first most but they are also adults who have jobs, children who must care for their parents (some are parents who must care for their kids!); countless hours can pass before a chance arises to sit down and breathe. Don’t misuse them. Make every precious second count before you are far too overwhelmed to do anything but die. It is just like they say about parenthood, if you don’t take a chance to relax and enjoy life; the future will be upon you and you will never get those moments back. Parents spend time jostling work life, family life, and their very miniscule social life with friends. Teens balance school, sports, chores, family, sometimes work. Everyone has their own hectic schedule, you were in their shoes at some point thinking the same thing. Nobody has it any harder than another person so just take in what is your life and remember to spend time doing things you love so that you can get through those things you repulse you.

Presentation is Key

It was true in the times of warriors and scavengers, it was true in the renaissance and the time of kings and queens. Even today, in the time of technological advances and idle behavior; presentation is highly regarded. Over the course of time, the representation of a presentation has changed. At one point the dirtier you were, the healthier and more daredevil-esk you were to the community. With the revolution of time it become more important to be clean yet plump. Currently, there are higher or lower standards dependent on your global location. Some regions prefer thicker bodies with varying heights for both genders, others want extremely well-toned bodies with either rather tall or short heights, still a few others maintain that desire to appear wealthy through weight.
The presentation and appearance of your physical being is not the only thing which matters and helps categorize you though. You are also judged on the appearance of your home and how it represents your heritage and personality, you are criticized on your clothing choices, how you prepare entrees for feasts. Anything and everything imaginable is constantly sending out a story of who you are to the people around you.

What are you trying to tell the world?

Laughter is the Only Medicine that Cures the Soul

It has been several months since joining the college community and the ‘sophisticated’ world of these creatures. Never once did I imagine that there would be studious persona as crazy as myself, let alone PROFESSORS who speak gibberish. Like real deal baby gibberish too!! Some of this madness I am depicting to you first came to light early last semester when waiting for a class too early. A teacher of Indian decent was clapping his hands to a steady beat and chanting something a monkey might yell in the jungle. To my amazement, he had a rather large portion of his class partaking as well. This became a regular occurrence as I showed up for my nine am science class. It seemed that the craziness would not spread much further than this unknown teacher, that is until he became my professor this semester.

Although the semester started a good week prior to this encounter, the teacher in question had remained in Dubai after the break had ended. Thus, his identity remained a mystery other than his origin of ethnicity. This afternoon, once arrived; the professor did not have an accent from the Asian countries, rather he had a thick Italian one. He also went on the dismiss half the class because they did not need to take such a ‘difficult’ class before recounting to the other half that he is a very unorthodox teacher and demands every student leave the class with a smile if not laughing. He had spent a few years in a laughter club which had proven to him that starting the day out will a hearty laugh reduced stress, exercised the vocal cords, and many other beneficial occurrences to the health. He has spent his years since making his students laugh, telling jokes, breaking out in gibberish; anything he can to brighten the spirits of a few who will brighten the futures of many.

The Progression of Women

Today, barely 24 hours after ‘the land of the free’ has chosen and put into place their new leader, they are protesting. Fortunately; rather than the riotous protests which have been taking place the past few months was not what filled streets all across the country. Instead feminists quietly marched with signs against their leader Trump and some of the many hurtful words he has carelessly thrown around in interviews and on social media. They claim he will set the country back and that many will lose rights they have struggled to acquire.
Hunny, you did not work for any of the privileges you have; none of us have. Your gender has come a very far way it just has been such a small transgression and hasn’t impacted you directly so you miss what is taking place right in front of you.

Across the globe there are many who have it a lot worse than you. In Africa, there are mothers still forced to give birth to dozens of children and care for them all. There are girls who are sexualized and put to ‘use’ from the time they begin their menstruation; some even before. There are places where women do not get paid at all, some where they are not even allowed to have a job or be educated. Here in our first world countries we are almost equal to man. We can reach for our dreams of having a doctorate. You can climb the corporate ladder and make a name for yourself. You can deny marriage proposals, you can decide not to have children, you can fight against the men who hurt you and damage your well-being. It may not always work out the way you wish but you are more than capable of accomplishing that of a man if you put your all into it and stop acting like a lazy bitch who just wants everything handed to her on a silver platter. Grow up and work for it.

The Start of a Trump Reign

America seems to be struggling with acceptance. Acceptance of Africans, of Caucasians, of Mexicans, of Asians. Acceptance of males, of females, of transgenders. Acceptance of straights, of gays, of lesbians, of bisexuals. Acceptance of religion and that of government. The biggest acceptance they are struggling with today in particular is that of their newly inaugurated President. Eventually they will have to come to terms however just as many did with the Obama Presidency.

You cannot have advancement without setbacks. You cannot have cooperation without some disagreement on a subject. Get over yourselves, you chose your own future as a collected population.

Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016)

Movie Synopsis:
After slipping through a mirror, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) finds herself back in Underland with the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Her friends tell her that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is in a funk over the loss of his family. Hoping to save his loved ones, Alice steals the Chronosphere from Time (Sacha Baron Cohen) to travel into the past. While there, she encounters the younger Hatter and the evil Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).

While I myself have not read the novels, compared to the cartoon versions of this classic tale; I very much enjoy the live versions Disney has created. Johnny Depp is a magnificent Mad Hatter and Alice has grown on me throughout the plot. This sequel to the original movie released in March of 2015, takes on the impossible of traveling through the time dimensions and defeating death while also accepting it. For anyone, both child and adult; who is having trouble accepting the loss of loved ones or deciding if giving up on dreams is the better thing to do; this novel turned movie may be beneficial to watch. It is especially intriguing how Time is now a person and to some may resemble a relationship Alice may have had with her father. By the end of the featured film, not only has Alice been reconnected with her true self, the Hatter has his family back, Alice's mother sees what Alice has known her whole life, and Queen of Hearts has chosen to forgive her sister who was the ultimate cause of EVERYTHING.

Panic Rooms, Crying Rooms, and Places to Melo Out

Society has digressed with its technological advances. Some may say it is due to our choices in leaders. Others may imply that it is due to selfishness which has risen in the past decades, it has become a struggle filled, every man for himself world. Things have become rather left to free will and the needs of the younger generation thus allowing things to slide downhill. In fact, the younger generations are so soft that colleges have even put into place special places for students to just sit and cry!! They have rooms where they can sit around and color their anxiety away, spaces where they can pet animals to relieve depressive episodes; these are great ideas in theory but it is not something that can be expanded to the working world. If, for some odd reason; it was manageable to create these areas in business centers how do you suppose it would impact the productivity or employees? Wouldn’t it be anticipated that large quantities of time would be wasted trying to relax? I would think so.

Bad Ass

When you grow up doing whatever you want, when you roam the empty streets at all hours of the night; when it is past dark; you often begin to think of yourself as a hardened badass who can take on whatever city they come to. But you aren’t the bikers who use to roam the west, you aren’t the cowboys who lucked out on a draw, you didn’t sail the seas and loot villages, nor did you spend years leading a population to believe every word you said. You are about as badass as this generation gets but you will never be a real badass. Go on ahead and drink your pains away, smoke that dime bag you got out on the sketchy corner; you have a lot to learn young prodigy. Don’t think I am belittling your life accomplishments; I could never live your life, nor would I really desire to. However, you are never going to be the best, that title is reserved for the people who made history. People like the mid-Atlantic pirates, people like the explorers who took on the western states of America to find gold, people like the sheriffs of mid-western towns covered in dust and tumbleweeds, people like the Russian and German mafia; people you learn about in history class or see on the big screen.

Home Away from Home

I’d bet that you immediately had a single location pop into your head when you read that post. After some thought you could probably name three or four places you are extremely comfortable with.
1.      A Vacation Home
2.      Your School (Private or College/University)
3.      Your Best Friend(‘s’) House/Houses
4.      A Library/Park/Museum

Anywhere that provides you with comfort and is a sanctuary when you can’t go where you want to, that is your home away from home and it is important that you protect it. Sometimes this can be very hard because that place is the only thing that gives you will power to continue on but find a way to push through a make the best of a situation. You may not have that opportunity roll around again for a long time.

Motivation vs Inspiration

By definition these two words are not one in the same however they can be used synonymously. Motivation for one is that which pushes you to complete something which you have already started. Your inspiration on the other hand usually refers to that which persuaded you to begin a task in the first place. When further analyzed, lines can be drawn that connect these two terms. For instance, somebody whom was your inspiration to become a doctor and save lives can continue to motivate you as time progresses because they are not having a very calm and helpful experience themselves. A situation where they are not the same may for example be, an adult figure who occupied much of your early life inspiring you to pursue the same career choice as them while you only continue to chase these goals because you are motivated by the frustration of a home situation or maybe you just like to prove those who doubted you wrong.

Whatever the case is, both will help you go forth and accomplish great, or terrible; things in life. Yes, I clearly stated that there can be negative forces which taunt you into harmful choices. The path you follow is of your own choosing.

Hydration and Dietary Needs

The Holidays are over!!!!!!!!! Stop gorging on leftovers, stop laying in bed spending long days watching Netflix or playing video games. You are better than this!!!
               Oh well.
               I can’t change your mind.
I mean I did just tell you yesterday not to listen to everything anyone tells you, didn’t I? Well I did so I hope you listened.
Regardless of your current habit choices you should feel the need to eat healthy occasionally and continuously pump water into your body to detoxify it. People think this is great for losing weight and feeling better about yourself, and that may be true!!; but you do not need to do it because of that reason. Feel happy in your skin, feel happy in your mind; your looks should not define you, your capability to do what YOU want to is.

Be your own person. Be a healthy spirit.

Wise Words

Turn to your left, turn to your right, look to the past, look to the future. There is always going to be something to improve on, always something to fail at. There is always going to be somebody whom you will choose over another weather it is always the same person or not. Somebody is bound to lie, somebody to tell the truth and stay loyal by your side. No matter what may go on in the world around you, there is always going to be folks who are obligated to point these things out to you.

Don’t let them deter you from taking a certain path. It is very hypocritical for us to try and tell you this, we know. But you are bound to receive numerous accounts of advice that revolve around the same topic, just because it has become redundant in your mind does not mean that you must make them part of your own being. Remain yourself and be extremely picky about which advice you follow.

The Curse of Sleeping Beauty (2016)

Inside us all, we have something unexplainable. Something that defines us as a soul, a chakra, an entity higher than our physical being. This thing inside of us can be 'good' or it can seem 'evil'. At times it is hard to see which side it takes and it fools even the best of us.

The curse which holds us all, the curse which binds us to this earth, it is mysterious and confusing, as if it comes from a different world where they speak a different language foreign to our own tongues.

In this film produced by Pearry Reginald Teo; a man still in his early adulthood is thrust into a situation he did not know could exist in our realm. He struggles to piece the thoughts in his head together with the life he is living. Encountering numerous events which all lead back to a decaying house, he chooses the wrong course of actions and ultimately unleashes more demons onto the Earth.

In it's fullness the movie makes crafty use of shadows and inanimate objects to present a humorous atmosphere with the creepy and maniacal undertone. Sure to give the young the hibijibiz and the horror fanatics a hint of unease when entering abandoned complexes such as clothing factories we give it 4 stars.

The Italians Predict Armageddon

I didn’t think the Italians were one for gloom and doom. Apparently though it was predicted by a philosopher who lived between 1492 & 1582 and went by the name Matteo Tafuri that two consecutive days of snow fall in Salento would ultimately lead to the apocalypse. A specific date was never given as far as I have read but it is such a mild climate in that region that it was a big shock that they have been hit with a rather large snow storm that blanketed Southern Italy.

Be prepared. You will come to your freezing demise soon!!!

Waiting till the End and Googling it

There is statistically a 78% probability that you are walking into this post thinking it is about procrastination and being lazy. Generally, that probability would be a lot higher, however; a few of you have undoubtedly updating yourself on our posts via Facebook. Well, either way; this post is not even close to being about procrastination…… I hope…. Although, now that I have thought about it a bit…… it probably is because I didn’t have time or the will to create this post when it was still the same day all throughout the world. Instead I waited until the day had come to a near miss in my own location and I have spent the last twenty minutes searching the date for some sort of important news to discuss. The only thing I have come up with is that it is indeed very entertaining to google search the date for images and create your own stories based on the pictures that pop up.

In the case of today, January 11th 2017; there is not much correspondence between the first few photos. As you scroll through them however you notice a lot of group photos. People working together and using teamwork to make the dream work. That was corny, excuse me. Anyway, there are college students searching for more recruitments, there are scientists showing off their pride, there are sports enthusiasts showing their interests and addictions, there are ‘heroes’ training. Above all, there are countless memories being made and connections drawn between the past, the present, and the future. There is something that entices us all by the things others do around us and there is no better way to capture such moments other than to live it and share it.

DisOrder is Better than OCD

In the past year, we have struggled to cycle through all our opinions. We tried to take turns putting our opinions out on a single topic so you can see it from all viewpoints. We tried staying modern and incorporating recent movies and books that are relatable to the topics. We horribly lacked in our social media posts and trying to keep our readers intrigued by our lives.
No more. No more schedules. No more planned posts. Instead we will type from the heart and ramble on. You will never have a clear idea of what we are trying to tell you and you will forever remain a wanderer in our minds.

Maybe you will start to know us better that way, maybe even better than we know ourselves.

When is Telling Somebody Better than Keeping a Secret

Millions of promises are made in a lifetime. Your parents promise you that the world will get better once you get to know the environment around you. You are promised if you eat half the vegetables on your plate the monsters will not seek you out and much to the contrary you may actually grow. Teachers tell you if a special dance is performed it will snow overnight. If you try your very best you can be anything you want!! But probably the most important promise to ever be made are the pinky promises and blood oaths you make with your bestest friends. The two of you have known each other for so it is almost like you are sisters now, everything is shared between you when it becomes necessary; notes, gossip, clothes, sex stories… You get the picture.
Every so often you’ll get a top-secret peek into their life and it isn’t something you can handle keeping to yourself, nor is it something you should. We as people are bound to let something slip in our behavior or in the way we enunciate and exaggerate certain words. Every action is a context clue pertaining to something rambling through your mind.

When somebody tells you they were raped; when somebody tells you they want to commit suicide; if you are told that they are running away, are going to commit a crime…. You should not feel obligated to keep these things to yourself. You are only one person and it can harm you as much as it could hurt them because you will have to live on with the guilt that you could have done something to stop them from ruining their life. Try and persuade them to tell somebody else and seek up help; but you also should know that if the day comes when you really cannot do anything to help your friend; do what you think is superlative, even if it means you may lose your friend for a while. Everyone is bound to come to terms with their actions and those of people whom help them after they have had time to re-experiencing life.

A Time of Good Fortune

It has been discussed by those of ancient decent that today, January the 8th; is the start of the direct movement of the planets. This entail will bring with it a month of great fortune and opportune time.
In a non-philosophical sense; all the planets in our solar system are moving together, in the same direction; at a somewhat constant rate. Eventually the planets will resume their unique paths and speeds sending us into our usual havoc filled days but for now I will take all the good fortune I can in this struggling world.

Maybe that is why I awoke in such a motivated state!!

Literature Taste

There are a lot of things that can define you as a person. The way you are raised influences these depictable traits. This also influences novel choices. If you are raised in a military family that is very strict you may read books which allow you to connect with the protagonist or you may read fictitious books which allow you to read and learn about the inner rebel inside yourself. A family that is very emotional and shares their deepest feelings with one another may cause you to choose romance novels due to the deep thoughts and expressions of feelings. Each person has a very peculiar taste which can rarely be depicted.
These same tastes can be relevant in the music world. Sometimes none of the distinct choices are reflective of one another but that adds to the mysterium of the individual.
Each blogger on this page has their own choices as well, however we all have assimilated to one another and explore the book choices of the others. For example, I, the Original Nightdweller; live for books. Quite literally I own over two thousand (2,000) books. If you figure each book was at least $20 when originally bought; that is equivalent to $40,000!! A large majority of these books which fill the many floor to ceiling shelves in our house our mystery novels or those of the supernatural. Others are not in any way similar but hold some significance in my life. Those childish books which you acquire from teachers when in grade school are among some of them. Others are original poems and scripts from plays you may read in your higher ed classes. Still others are series which have been passed down from generations passed such as the Saddle Club or Magic Tree House.

Everything in your life describes who you are. We just happen to be people who have chosen to endulge ourselves in the dark and mysterious world around us. If we chose to read books on fairies and a shining world which could baffle even the blind; you would receive an entirely different persona of us.

La La Land (2016)

Official Synopsis: Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) are drawn together by their common desire to do what they love. But as success mounts they are faced with decisions that begin to fray the fragile fabric of their love affair, and the dreams they worked so hard to maintain in each other threaten to rip them apart.

Personal Review/Remarks as Noted While Watching:
-Old fashioned beginning with a widening of the screen to create the illusion of curtains opening as was probably occurring at the premiere in Hollywood.
-Introductory singer is not who you would expect due to publicity and causes you to think you are watching the original Broadway show rather than the new remake.
-In the words of the movie, very "hollywoodesque" in the sense that it is rather fast paced and dizzying due to constant camera angle changes and zoomage.
-Made me think of a combination of Hairspray and Annie.
-Embarrassingly funny watching Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling flirt.
-Becomes very sad when one character begins to find their self and what they truly want from life while the other loses their self in fame and money.
-Rather unorthodox ending with an unusually confusing conclusion.

Altogether it was a decently made move that perfectly depicted the Hollywood of childhood dreams. However, I would not be one to watch it again on purpose...

A Day Full of War & Death

Today was an emotionless day for many. It was another day of our lives without much excitement. Somewhere somebody is bound to have gotten engaged. Somebody married. Somebody divorced. Somebody broke up a relationship. Somebody was born. Somebody died. It is the same thing that occurs every day just not to ourselves.
In other news; today Russia, the country that is being accused of hacking the American election; pulled its forces out of Syria. Or it at least began to pull its armed forces out anyway. Could be bad, could be good. Depends on which side of the battle you’re standing.

Also, somebody from the freezing American state of Alaska shot and killed a bunch of people after arriving in a Fort Lauderdale airport. I thought that place was mainly military which would explain how the gun got there but apparently, it was a regular civilian…… Hmm…. Just another thing to add to the idiotic gun control enthusiasts.

Redundancy

History has a tendency to repeat itself. So do we as people. We recall the same events to those around us. We learn from these recaptions but we also injure ourselves more than it did to create the memory. The things you endure most definitely have shaped who you are and the choices you make but it can cause you to make the wrong decisions if you aren’t learning from the past.

I can’t tell what to do with your own being; I can tell you that we as a group want to better ourselves and are going to ATTEMPT to stray away from the events we often revisit numerous times. We want to make ourselves happier and our lives longer. No more dwelling in the past. No more struggling to find light in the dark. We will be our own light and make our own paths to a new tomorrow.

Preparing for the Future

From the very beginning we are bantered about the future. About making grown up decisions and taking care of our own kids. It is a never-ending cycle that leads us nowhere. Where do we get off with enjoyment from this cycle? We really don’t. You are told you can be a doctor, a musician, an architect, an astronaut. Those are all things that you could be and that you are told to be, so what are you actually going to choose? In a world of thousands of choices why pick just one, why go down a path somebody else already laid down for you? There is no reason for you must follow that yellow brick road to Oz when you could be taking the red path to your own destiny. The future is always changing and there is always going to be a different end destination.
I grew up in a world where you can make your own decisions and go against what the bigger people say. Sometimes you had no choice but to listen to them but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t by your own choice. There are hundreds of people who have made world changing turns and they weren’t all for the better in our eyes but in theirs they were.
Bill Gates created computer programs in high school and became the richest man on Earth through the development of Microsoft.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a minister who wanted to remove race from government inequality acts.
Nelson Mandela allowed himself to be imprisoned to allow the white and black Africans be together.
Adolf Hitler saw a world of equality, he just saw it through the removal of those with different beliefs. He saw a united and superior front it just wasn’t obtained in the most human way.
Albert Einstein is said to be the greatest physicist of all time who was also a pacifist and fought to remove war.
Ghandi, a political and spiritual leader started as a lawyer.
Karl Marx, sought out equality through communism.
Darwin, denied religion to remain strictly scientific.
Shakespeare, said to be the greatest screen write EVER. But he may not have even been the real writer, his name may have just been slapped onto the covers.
Columbus, found a new world where Europe’s ever growing population could expand but pillaged and raped thousands of natives to gain control of the land.

Everyone should stray from the public’s demeaning eye to find their true purpose. Everyone may have the means but only a few will have the will to do what they feel is best, to do what they feel is right.

A Clean Life for a Clean Start

If something doesn’t seem to be beneficial or what you expected it to be, why keep it? Usually it gets tossed away. Be it a bad copy of an essay, clutter on the floors of your home, or a person in your life who just seems to carry bad juju with them everywhere they go. In complete honesty, for every good there must be a bad so why do we insist on decluttering ourselves and putting only good around in place of the bad? What if it ultimately caused more harm than help? We could be sentencing ourselves to a lifetime of darkness and turmoil without even knowing it!!!
Okay, that is kind of morbid. But seriously. We take experiences and we learn from them for the future. The original instincts of homosapians still kick in from time to time, if you eat bad food you stay away the next time the two of you cross paths. If stealing causes you pain and punishment you generally steer clear of it when the opportunity arises next. But if you were to not retain this information and started without any recollection every day, it would stand to chance that you would repeat the same decisions leading to the same demise.

We are all left to our own choices but think about it the next time you throw away a rough draft of a book report or the next time you cut off ties with that cousin who constantly comes seeking help and betrays you. What if you could learn from them? What if you could turn the ‘bad’ into something ‘good’?

The Start of a New Year and the Start of a *New World*

Every day it’s the same story but a new tomorrow. Every year. Every decade. Every lifetime. Every millennia. Every era. It is the same tale but a new backstory. This is because every second you live and breathe you are adding another detail to your background and that of the world. No matter what you choose to do however you will continue to strive for more. That is exactly why every time you complete another task you immediately form a concept, a desire; to strive for something better than the last. At some point, you would think the human population would conclude that it is an incurable illness but it is just our nature. You cannot help but hope to be the best and get nothing but the best for yourself; granted this ‘best’ is different for each soul.
One moment you are conceived and all you can hope for is to stay in that safe and comforting environment. But then you are thrown into a never-ending spiral of regret and misfortune. You grow up; you learn to walk, to talk, to run, to ride a bike; you take pride in the look of utter contempt portrayed on the faces of others around you. But then it isn’t enough for them. You try to do better to absorb all the never-ending information around you but you can never make anybody happy. And that is the way life goes. Determination over rules your being and pressure becomes overwhelming as you strive for the best. Taking the hardest classes. Putting extra effort into projects. Winning the championship game. Looking like a princess and acting like a warrior. But once that has all been achieved, where does that leave you? Looking for the next best thing. After graduating high school, one of the many rites of passage for a young soul; you go on to college. You try to make something of yourself so that you can get somewhere in life that will support your dreams so you can support the dreams of those to come after you unlike the generation before. When will enough be enough???
               It won’t.
Forever encapsulated in this life you struggle over and over to mold yourself. To mold the world. But there are too many other acts of persuasion working against you. All that is possible is to wish for a bigger and brighter tomorrow. One where you accomplish something you meant to the day before yesterday. Time. Life. Missions. Tasks. Goals. Everything is of your own making and you put the restrictions on yourself.

Don’t be sorry for what you have done or what you will do. Just fight to do better because it is all you know how to do.
