One of the most common comments normies make to gamers, "go touch grass". Do you know where that originated from? Technically it started back in 2015 on Twitter but it definitely gained more popularity in 2020 and 2021 when the global pandemic took over and normies temporarily became engulfed in our gaming communities.
Most people probably think oh you spend all day inside gaming you need to go outside and meet people and have social interactions, which is definitely the biggest part of the whole saying; but it also was about how you literally could not leave the house to do anything and therefore needed to go out into your yard to touch grass occasionally and get that fresh breath of clean air, even if it was while wearing a mask.
As a gamer who also works a full-time job, I get to touch grass quite frequently though. I touch grass when I am leaving to go to work and when I am at work. So the comment of needing to go outside and touch grass is not super applicable to me. At least not that I feel like.
