We, as humans, often change the manner in which we describe ourselves based on any new experiences had in life but also the group of individuals we are talking to at that moment.
I actually touched base on this not too long ago. If I am talking to my peers at my full-time job, I act a lot more formally, I mention my hobbies of reading and crafting, I discuss any new foods I tried or anything I caught in terms of new techniques for the field. If I am talking to family members of any relation, I am more withdrawn into myself and let them do all the talking and question-asking. If I am talking to new friends on stream, I act a bit more goofy and I mention the things in my life I may never mention to anyone in any other scenario.
Some of the common items across all; my name, my age, my favorite things like colors or foods or games.
Some things that get mentioned across all groups but in different depth; my family, my job, my trauma, my relationship.
What do you choose to say when you introduce yourself? What ice breakers do you prefer at events for newbies? What do you choose to withhold to yourself?
