While Marvel again delivered a good, thrilling, action-packed movie, there were points at which I hated the characters, and I hated the narrative they were trying to spin. I did not like this, " Whoa is me, I am dying anyway, so why not be a butt face of a person, version of Tony Stark that we got. I highly disliked his friend turning on him and stealing the suit. And while I will do it every time, I was not a fan of yelling at the screen how stupid and naive somebody was, trusting another person who clearly had no intention of being a trustworthy person! Also, sometimes I would really like some more insight into the science, but in a way that the common folk would understand!!
!!! SPOILERS BELOW !!!
- Who is this random long-haired guy who is watching all the Iron Man news reports?
- I do not remember these Iron Man cheerleaders.
- Why is he testing his blood toxicity levels?
- Is Stark Expo supposed to be like his version of Tomorrowland?
- That government meeting, which served as a court hearing, was not a very formal court trial.
- How is the device that is saving him also KOing him? Is the device also made of the metal that he keeps checking the toxicity for? Also, how did he jump from like 17% to 24% toxicity overnight?
- Why is Black Widow the notary?
- We can sign documents with our fingerprints?
- And now his toxicity is at 53%, that is increasing at an alarming rate.
- Has Tony ever driven a race car before?
- They are driving a regular car backwards down the track to get Tony his suit? Are you serious?
- Also, how is this guy, who is using electric whips to destroy cars, not cutting people's legs off in the process?
- How is the suit not getting overpowered by those cables? Also, why would he willingly wrap himself in the cables just to get closer to the guy?
- Oh, this guy with the electric whips is related to the scientist that Tony was in a cave with for 3 months.
- ...I know that the government really wants the power that Stark as but for them to break somebody out of a foreign prison just to get it? Seems like a bit much if you ask me.
- Wait...now I am confused... is the guy with the electric whips related to the scientist from the cave or the scientist who worked for Tony and built his own giant suit?
- Apparently, the way he wants to celebrate his birthday is in the Iron Man suit.
- Yeah, drunk Tony is too much.
- The military guy putting on an Iron Man suit to end the party is funny and serious all at the same time. Because now he will become the new defender.
- Iron Man vs War Machine is giving "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots" vibes.
- War Machine flew that suit out of there like he had been doing it for years.
- So I needed to pause for a second in the movie ... Black Widow didn't have her movie come out until 2021, right? How is she already in the MCU with SHIELD in Iron Man 2?
- So SHIELD is going to provide Stark with a special metal, and in return, they will want him to work for them, right? Is that how he got into the group, even after adamantly saying he wouldn't?
- Hammer isn't getting a suit; he is getting the droid army. Get ready for Star Wars to take over the MCU!
- I'm sorry, but isn't Hammer already working for the US military? Why is he offering up guns for the suit? I thought all his weapons should pretty much automatically go to the government for use. Or maybe I was misinformed on how that relationship works.
- He obviously got his humor and sarcasm from his father.
- I thought Tony wasn't supposed to be able to leave his home without getting zapped?
- How is he managing to drive that car with those giant models sticking up out of the seat like that?
- Oh to have money and no cares, to be able to just destroy your home to be a scientist.
- ...Did he just use a crude version of the Captain America shield to level out his new contraption?
- Sure, let's just burn the highly flammable cabinet into half of what it used to be, because that is totally safe.
- That was your first mistake Hammer. You never trust a crook who has ulterior motives.
- Tastes like coconut and water ... that is an interesting combination.
- Did we really have to make different suits for each branch of the military?
- I could have told them not to trust a convict. Oh wait, I did...
- Note to Stark Industries: install bulletproof glass in all expo buildings instead of regular glass.
- Well, I hope the government learns not to trust Hammer from here on out in the series.
- NOT THE LITTLE KID WEARING AN IRON MAN MASK!
- The fact that Stark can take out all of these bad guys himself before they can get a single shot off on him just shows that his is better, no questions asked.
- I really do love Black Widow's curls, I wish I could get my hair to stay like that.
- In the amount of time it took the guy to defeat one guard, she took out like a dozen xD
- The final boss has the crook in it! They wanted one to be worn with a suit, so he built it, for himself.
- Those electric whips are crazy!
- Aww, he cares about saving his not girlfriend, how sweet. I hope everyone else was out of the park, though.
- I like how the end credits scene literally shows us what movie is next in line, Thor.
