I find that people either take this sort of discussion way too seriously or not seriously enough.
Every year right before the senior prom, my school's division of the SADD program puts together a mock car crash where they have real students all done up and have our townships police and fire department use real tools to show what it was all really like. For the following 36 hours the students are not allowed to have any communication with the outside world and it is all meant to be as if they all were actually killed or thrown in jail. Parent's put together obituaries and sometimes they even have a teacher die as well.
The students in the school disrespect the people that agree to participate and it is very saddening. Some students on the other hand, get so overwhelmed that they are stuck in a trance for the proceeding week.
Every one should know of the dangers and take it seriously; it could be you that is ending somebody else's life because of a stupid choice, or are even killed because of somebody else's who you don't even know.
Every thirty minutes somebody in the United States is killed by a drunk driver; even more are killed when you add in all the forms of destructive behaviors.
Please think before you act, you may just save a life.
